Wynten Way Splash Pad & Playground
Baker Turner Inc. was commissioned by the Town of Oakville in late 2022 to design and install a new splash pad and playground at Wynten Way Park. This neighborhood park, which already features pedestrian pathways, a baseball diamond, and a utility building, needed replacements for both its playground and splash pad. The new installations were placed in the same locations as the previous ones, now featuring a poured-in-place rubber safety surface for the playground. Additionally, the surrounding pedestrian pathways were upgraded with new concrete and asphalt paving, along with new site furnishings. Both Vortex and Open Space Solutions delivered innovative designs for the splash pad and playground, respectively, creating engaging and enjoyable areas for children.
