Sesquicentennial Activity Hub

Sesquicentennial Activity Hub

In early 2020, the City of Brampton commissioned Baker Turner to initiate the third of four planned Activity Hubs: the Sesquicentennial Activity Hub. This ambitious project was designed to provide a comprehensive recreational experience for the community. The Activity Hub features a variety of program elements, including junior and senior playgrounds, shade sails, a custom spray pad, an amphitheatre/stage, expansive open spaces, retaining walls, extensive pathway connections, fencing, and a new water main.

Construction commenced in the fall of 2021, with the project reaching completion in November 2022.  By enhancing the existing recreational opportunities and promoting the well-being of the surrounding community, the Sesquicentennial Activity Hub has become a vibrant centerpiece of the community offering its residents a diverse array of amenities while fostering a sense of connection and engagement.
