Norton Place Park

Norton Place Park

Norton Place Park in Brampton, Ontario, is a serene 1.12-hectare green space anchored by a 2.0-hectare quarry lake. Initially challenged by difficult access, the park was revitalized through a comprehensive Master Plan developed by Baker Turner Inc., in collaboration with the City of Brampton, stakeholders, and the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority (TRCA). The first phase, completed in 2010, included essential infrastructure such as a maintenance depot, interpretive centre, parking lot, soccer field, and a new entrance road, improving accessibility to the park.

The project officially concluded the second and final phase of work in 2019, with the addition of key features that enhance its recreational value, including two boardwalks, a lake pier, dock, picnic areas, a shelter, and a playground. A network of walkways now connects these elements, offering seamless access throughout the park. The improved interface with the lake creates an inviting and peaceful environment for visitors, making it a hidden gem for outdoor enthusiasts in Brampton.
