Mississauga Valley Splash Pad
The existing spray pad at the Mississauga Valley Commuity Centre was one of the City’s first spray pads. Originally built in 1998, the spray pad at 20 years of age had recently reached the end of its life cycle. BTi was retained by the City to facilitate a near complete demolition and rebuild to ensure the new facility could be used for another 20 years. All existing ground jets and vertical spray features were refurbished for reuse within the new spray pad and rubber surfacing was used within the spray pad boundary for use as a fall surface due to the boat ‘prow’ feature that dominates the spray pad. This facility is now AODA compliant.
